Susanne
Susanne is a sweet little white wool plush
teddy bear, c.1920s, with certain similarities to Bing, including back leg seams, and she's likely to be either German or American. She has the remains of a faded paper tag sewn to her ear, and is all original and 9 inches tall, with shoebutton eyes and a black-stitched nose and mouth.
Fully-jointed and filled with woodwool, her pads are felt and a tad surface worn - two have old patches and darns. She has a full set of claws, and a small area of wear to the left of her muzzle, showing her stuffing. Mostly bald, Susanne has kept about 15% of her fur, with overall thinning. She's also quite slouchy where the stuffing has settled in her torso.
Wearing the old cotton print dress and head bow that she arrived in, Susanne is
a very pretty bear, and her name is the German form of Susanna, meaning 'lily'.
